Consists of a newspaper clipping which relates the story of the return of the flag of Company D, 18th Tennessee Infantry, CSA. The flag had been captured by Fred J. Schreve of Company C, 9th Illinois Infantry, USA, at the Battle of Fort Donelson (Tenn.) in 1862, and was returned to the citizens of Woodbury, Tennessee 42 years later. The clipping includes two pictures of Fred J. Schreve.
